Wallabies star has 48 hours to respond
Statement from Rugby Australia: “Following the events of last year, Israel was warned formally and repeatedly about the expectations of him as player for the Wallabies and NSW Waratahs with regards to social media use and he has failed to meet those obligations. It was made clear to him that any social media posts or commentary that is in any way disrespectful to people because of their sexuality will result in disciplinary action“.

We wondered whether any homosexuals themselves were offended or whether ‘offence’ was taken on their behalf. We also wondered any of the other categories on the list were offendees too.
Apparently no-one in these other categories was offended even though our star rugby player said they were going to ‘hell’ too.
- Drunks: In 2016-17, 186 million litres of pure alcohol was consumed in Australia, an average of 12 million litres per drinker.
- Liars: No-one would seriously dispute that the whole of Canberra wasn’t destined for hell.
- Thieves: A car is stolen in Australia every ten minutes, 52,858 altogether in 2017[2]. And shop-lifters cost the Australian retail sector over $7.5b each year[3].
- Atheists: According to the 2016 census: “39.7% of Australians did not expressly state a religious affiliation”[4].. Nearly half the population
- Idolaters:
These folks were seen kneeling before a 1933 Auburn speedster. If they are lucky, they might be spared the grim reaper. On any given day in Sydney, a stream of AMGs can be seen drag-racing down Military road and scores of WRXs revving around Bankstown. Will these Idolators join the Fornicators and Adulterers in hell?
- Adultery and Fornication were once considered to be perjorative. Not any more – someone may be offended. Apart from the betrayed spouse that is.
The Makers of Mad Max are going to hell, who is offended?
